Plain Plug Gauges
CYCLO INSTRUMENTS manufactures Plain Plug Gauges in the range of 0.5 to 12 mm; in reversible gauge element type design. The gauge elements are fastened by collet & nut mechanism to the opposite ends of a handle. When after use the gauge element wears off; the same could be unlocked & reversed in position (inside edge out) to put in use the unused intact inside edge. This enables the user to get double life from one single gauge thereby saving on the gauge costs.
The gauge elements (pins) are 40mm in length below nominal diameter of 1.5mm & are in H.S.S. The gauge elements (pins) beyond 1.5mm are made from SAE 52100 Steel & are of 50mm length. All pins are full cylinders over their entire length. 10mm of the length of the pin is sufficient for holding the gauge pin into the collet. Gauge manufacturing tolerances are as per I.S. 3455-1971.
Very suitable for deep hole inspection; & with the advantage of getting double life due to reversal of the pin end after wearing off; these type of gauges are in good demand from watch; electronic; hydraulic; jewellery; dash board instruments industry & general engineering industry.
